Mal davon abgesehen, dass es wichtig fuer den Diskurs ist, empirisch gezeigt zu haben, dass Ueberwachung auch im Internet dazu fuehrt, Meinungsfreiheit, das Fundament der Demokratie (!), erfolgreich, durch Selbstzensur, zu unterdruecken.<\/p>\n<p>Aber eigentlich geht es mir um diese Heuchler hier:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"573.6144999999999\">[\u2026] individuals [that] expressed that surveillance was necessary for maintaining national security and they have nothing to hide<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div>\n<p>Denn:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"576.3666666666666\">[\u2026] the participants in this study who were the most susceptible to conformist behavior were those who supported these controversial surveillance policies.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Es zeigte sich naemlich, dass:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"570.2189999999999\">[\u2026] when these individuals perceive they are being monitored, they readily conform their behavior\u2014expressing opinions when they are in the majority, and suppressing them when they\u2019re not.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Oder anders ausgedrueckt:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"166.16666666666663\">[\u2026] the \u201cnothing to hide\u201d group seemed to experience some degree of dissonance when their views were in the minority, as they were inclined to \u201chide\u201d them.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.soeren-in-norwegen.net\/blog\/?p=5990&amp;preview=true\" target=\"_blank\">Passt im Uebrigen auch hierzu<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Die Studie &#8222;Under Surveillance: Examining Facebook\u2019s Spiral of Silence Effects in the Wake of NSA Internet Monitoring&#8220; (PDF) ist eher langweilig.
